"Culturdes" is a transdisciplinary research ecosystem defined by its specialization in mixed methodologies and advanced qualitative analysis. We seek to transcend the traditional dichotomy between data and narratives by integrating the rigor of quantitative tools with the interpretive depth of qualitative analysis. Our central focus is the study of processes of meaning and memory, analyzing how these manifest themselves in the socio-spatial fabric. Our work combines theoretical production ("theoria") and practical intervention ("praxis") via two complementary strands: 1. Methodological Innovation and Qualitative Analysis We specialize in capturing the complexity of the human experience. We apply in-depth qualitative analysis to unravel symbolic-cognitive activity from a holistic perspective (sociocultural, sociopsychological, and historical). Using mixed methodologies, we achieve data triangulation that enables a cross-cultural and comparative understanding of the mechanisms that define how we inhabit the world. 2. Applied Research: Culture and Development We investigate how cultural dynamics influence cooperation and development processes. We place special emphasis on contexts where tourism serves as a strategic driver of local transformation, using our methodological tools to assess the actual impact on communities and the region. Strategic Research Areas: *Genesis of meaning and memory: A study of the intersubjective generation of meaning and meaningful mediations. *Mobility and territorial transformation: Qualitative and spatial analysis of social dynamics in multicultural and tourist environments with a focus on new forms of mobility. *Culture as a resource and heritage: Research on culture as a pillar of identity and as an essential heritage asset (tangible and intangible) in development and development cooperation strategies.
